大井平公園の紅葉の樹林に接した奥側の斜面にスギ、ヒノキの大木の森があります。これらの木は江戸時代後期、天保年間（１８３０〜１８４３）に植林されたものだそうです。そしてその根元にはシャクナゲの群生があり初夏５月には華やかな花を咲かせます。 The woods of the giant tree of a Japan cedar or a cypress are in the inner part of woods which carry out autumnal leaves, such as a maple and a ginkgo tree. The trees in these woods are afforested in the late Edo era ,the first half of the 1800s. And Alpine roses garden in this woods,the flower will bloom in May
