A short trip to Tokyo, spring 2013. I wanted to catch the sakura (cherry blossoms) season but as luck would have it, the season arrived so exceptionally early this year that I only managed to catch the very tail end of it, well past the mankai (peak) stage.Sakura trees, with a lot of the flowers having already fallen off, line the major paths inside Aoyama Cemetery. I’m sure this area would have looked spectacular at mankai; but even at this late stage in the season a sea of pink sakura petals on the ground can offer its own beauty methinks.360度パノラマ 青山霊園 東京都港区南青山 さくら 桜
