For those who a Bohemian life style there can be nothing better than a house boad on the Grand Union Canal in West London. The area is known as Little Venice by virtue of people living on the water – a bit of an exageration but it is a very pictureque place. Certainly, if you are visiting London and if the sun is shining, and you have nothing else planned, it’s well worth a walk along the tow path. Just accross the foot bridge where this panorama was taken is a resturamnt worth visiting and there is even a cafe afloat a little way up near Maida Vale.I suppose the pigeons sitting on the superstructure think they own the bridge and are guarding it. Better info – tryhttp://www.visitlondon.com/attractions/detail/401228-little-veniceWell I’ve just read it. Apparently Little Venice is the meeting point of the Grand Union Canal and the Regent’s Canal.  I learn something new every day!
