The Seattle Public Library’s Central Library on Fourth Avenue is the flagship of the Seattle Public Library system. The 11 story glass and steel building was designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and opened to the public on May 23, 2004. The innovative design style has been called eclectic modern.
