In August of 2012, the Freedom Tower at One World Trade Center, NY, was still under construction. It would be another 15 months until it was completed, but the twin pools were open to the public. Standing at the site where I had taken VR panoramas twelve years earlier was a profound experience. Looking into the pools where the Twin Towers had once stood and remembering another warm Summer day when I was at the beginning of my VR photography career brought back how much I had changed as well as the world around me. I can only imagine the effect on people visiting this memorial and seeing the names of their loved ones on the walls surrounding the pools.
