Here a sweeping view of the western aspect of the huge Parque Nacional Torres del Paine is taken from an outcrop not far away from the Refugio Paine Grande. Valle del Francés and the landmark Cuernos is to the north sandwiched between the mountains and immediately situated below it is the blue Lago Skottsberg which tumbles down to a small subsidiary lake before finally draining to the huge turquoise Lago Pehoé. Another turquoise lake at a higher level is Lago Nordenskjold. The trail leading to Lago Grey and Glaciar Grey skirts alongside the Cerro Paine Grande(2730m) on the left here.
