In August, we’re featuring David Waldo, a panoramic photographer from the United States who has been part of the 360Cities community since 2010 and holds our Expert badge. David’s work reflects a long-standing commitment to capturing the world through immersive imagery, and last month he added 110 new panoramas to his collection.
Most of David’s July contributions come from across Ireland, with a few wintery scenes from northern Norway as well. His work combines landscapes, historical sites, and city scenes with a consistent sense of atmosphere and storytelling.
Highlights from his recent uploads include:
- A close-up view of Muiredach’s High Cross at Monasterboice, a well-preserved early Christian site in Ireland.
- A striking shot from inside the Spirit of Belfast sculpture, showing the textures and reflections of the public art installation.
- A full view of the Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast, capturing the structure and symmetry of the historic prison.
- A quiet overlook at Carrick-a-Rede, with coastal cliffs and sea stretching into the distance.
- A snowy panorama from the top of the Fjellheisen cable car in Tromsø, Norway, with soft light and mountain views.
- A harbor view from Tromsø, showing boats at rest in icy waters under a muted winter sky.
David describes his goal as sharing the beauty and stories of the places he visits, and his images do just that. Whether documenting a well-known tourist site or a quiet corner off the path, his photography invites viewers to look more closely and take in the details of each place.Explore David’s full profile and his latest contributions here: https://www.360cities.net/profile/david-waldo
