Gibraltar Rocks are huge granite tors located in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. The view from up there down below, is quite nice. One way to get to the rocks is to start from Dalsetta within the nature reserve and follow the walking track. I did that for the first time today (17 Dec 2011) – while not dauntingly steep, the track does climb, climb and climb some more, pretty much non-stop all the way from the start until you almost reach the rocks (then there is a steep downslope just before the entrance).Possibly an easier alternative (as there is less climbing) – as I have done on all my previous visits to these rocks – is to start from Woods Reserve in the Namadgi National Park and follow the various forest management tracks generally in a north-easterly direction, then head west after reaching the track that leads to the rocks.
