Mt.Sukumo is a scoria cone was formed by volcanic activity about 132,000 years ago. Before WW2 an aeronautic beacon has been installed in this hill. There are currently a pile showing the beacon near the observatory. If it will be a fine day, you can see Mt.Fuji and Izu islands.
