Without doubt this modest ho(s)tel boasts one of the best view in the world – situated above the now defunct Shyangboche airstrip which once was used to seeing air traffic from Kathmandu it commands a panoramic view of the confluence of three valleys below as well as the neighbouring mountains that make up some of the most famous landmarks in the Himalayas – from the right to left are : Kongde(6187m), Thamserku(6623m), Kangtega(6782m), Ama Dablam(6814m) and Nuptse(7861m) respectively. The famed Everest View Hotel could also be seen from here on the distant ledge – it boasts similar view as well as a glimpse of the very tip of the Everest if weather allows – but that would costs you an arm and a leg as the tariff is 250 usd per night.
