Introducing Sam Ablott: 360º Contributor of the Month – April

There’s something magical about places where nature speaks for itself—untouched landscapes, flowing rivers, dramatic skies. Sam Ablott, a 360º photographer from England, has a gift for capturing those moments where stillness and scale collide. Since joining 360Cities in April 2012, Sam has published 466 panoramas, earning him the well-deserved Expert status badge.

In March, Sam added 52 new panoramas, a visual journey through some of the UK’s most serene and dramatic landscapes. His work offers a deep connection to nature, from quiet woodland trails to sweeping mountain views, with a particular focus on the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District National Park.

Highlights from Sam’s March Contributions:

📍 Lincove Falls & Pools of Lincove Beck – Peaceful cascades and crystal-clear water framed by rugged terrain.

📍 Ullswater from Hallin Fell – A panoramic masterpiece capturing the calm expanse of one of England’s most beautiful lakes.

📍 Windermere from Gummer’s How – A sweeping view that stretches from hillside to horizon.

📍 Scale Force Waterfall & Footbridge – Immersive scenes of the Lake District’s tallest waterfall and the scenic paths that lead to it.

📍 Thornton Abbey Gatehouse & Spurn Sea Defences – Contrasting architectural and coastal perspectives, blending history and natural beauty.

📍 Geordie’s Crag & Howtown Wyke – Atmospheric lakeside locations where land meets water in perfect harmony.

Sam’s panoramas are not just visually great—they’re meditative. Each image feels like a pause, inviting viewers to breathe in the landscape and appreciate the quiet details that make a place memorable. Whether it’s the texture of a mossy trail or the glimmer of a distant peak, Sam captures scenes that feel both personal and timeless.
